JULY 14 FISHING UPDATE
We have had lots of trips out over the last few days with solid results on most charters. Somedays there are some slow stretches but persistence usually pays off with some decent hook ups. On average over the last few days we have been hooking 4-8 fish a charter. On Monday, July 13 we had a very active day on Bon Chovy with 20 fish hitting the gear on our full day charter. The fish were a mixture of hatchery and wild coho, undersize chinook, and mature chinook. We even were lucky enough to get a quadruple header on coho, landing 3 of them. Today the action slowed a bit but we brought fish back to the dock on both the Grady’s. Jeff has been on a hot streak on our new boat landing chinook up to 25 pounds back for the last 5 consecutive trips.
We have focused our efforts primarily off of West Vancouver, the Bell Buoy, and Sandheads. The coho have been cruising around Vancouver harbour this year quite a bit more than usual. Today we found coho off the Bell Buoy, Jericho, and the QB. We have hooked some decent chinook off the Bell and the Cap.
The weather looks great for the weekend. Give us a call to book a charter we still have availability on Saturday and Sunday.
