AUG 24 REPORT
Sunday produced better numbers of big chinook salmom for the local fleet. All of our charters yesterday hooked big fish. The biggest fish of the day was young Shawn’s 26 pound chinook on Bon Chovy. He waited patiently weeding through the pink salmon and juvenile chinook and finally got his big one in the afternoon!!!! Good job Shawn, you played it like a pro!!!!
The chinook right now are coming in waves and persistence is paying off with some quality hook ups. The nice thing about this time of year is the other species of salmon that are hitting while targetting. The pink salmon, sockeye(must be released), undersize chinook, and the odd coho have definately kept the rods moving while waiting for the big chinook to hit.
