Vancouver Harbour Report…Sept 26
Another solid day along the West Van shoreline today. There were lots of boats out and good numbers of chinook hooked and landed. Bon Chovy did well landing a couple solid chinook in high teens/low twenties and a big wild coho that was released. This fishery is getting stronger and stronger by the day and is much improved over the last couple years. This is the first year that the 4 year old net pen chinook are returning to the Capilano River. It looks like the hard work that our local guides association has put in to the chinook net pens in West Vancouver is paying off. We still have a few weeks of this great fishery left before the focus is shifted back to feeder chinook.
