October 17th Report
Both Van Herring and Bon Chovy were out on charters this morning in the sunshine! Calm water and a good flood tide made for ideal conditions! Both boats hooked a couple nice chinook! With the continued dry weather forecasted for the next little while we could be in for some improved fishing. This next week or so should be the final kick at can for big mature chinook off the Cap Mouth. There is supposed to be a little of rain late this week which might actually be a good thing for the fishery! Once this fishery dies off we will be shifting our focus to winter chinook!! One of our favourite fisheries!! Bon Chovy landed a beautiful 29.5 inch winter chinook last week, a sign of things to come!!!!! Give us a call to book a chinook charter! The weather looks great for the next week!
