October 12th Udpate
The heavy rains over the last week have definately slowed the Capilano Mouth Chinook Fishery down. There is still some fish being hooked on a daily basis, but it is nowhere near as good as it was last week! We have averaged 2 to 4 hook ups a trip on chinook and coho recently. The Capilano River crested yesterday at a very high level and it is now on the drop. By later this week we should see the river drop way down and the numbers of chinook salmon holding at the mouth of the river increase. The forecast looks like it should be dry for the next week so we should see another bump of chinook start holding off the mouth and the fishing pick up again. We are hoping anyway!
We headed out with our good friend Rick Clark from the World Fishing Network and had an epic morning fishing for chinook salmon off the Cap Mouth last week… Here is the video!
Give us a call to book a chinook trip!
