Gulf Island Report June 1st/12

Fishing has continued to be quite good over on the Gulf Islands.  Bon Chovy fished the eastern shoreline of Gabriola Island and got into some great action from 10am to 1pm.  A total of 9 chinook salmon hit the gear.  Unfortunately the conversion was not great, but 3 very nice chinook were landed.  Van Herring ventured a little further North to Snake Island and also hit a handful of chinook, landed 3 beauties.  Hootchies and silver horde spoons were the ticket yesterday from 90 to 130 feet.  The forecast looks good for Gulf Island trips over the next few days.   Give us a call if you are interested in doing a trip.  June is typically one of the best months for chinook salmon over on the Gulf Islands. Tight lines. Jason and Jeff            604.763.5460 gab1
