Aug 9 Update!
Things are starting to get more exciting out in local waters! The big summer chinook salmon are showing in increasing numbers everyday! In addition there has been some decent coho fishing along the West Vancouver shoreline. AND....we are cautiously optimistic that we might even get a sockeye opening here in the next week!
The chinook we have been hooking have been along the West Vancouver shoreline, Vancouver Harbour and the Fraser Mouth. Now that we are approaching the middle of August we will be focussing the majority of our efforts on big chinook! (and sockeye if we get our opening!) Reports from the south end of Vancouver Island have been very good in the last week so we should see some good waves of chinooks! If you hit it right you can hook as many as a 10 big chinook on a tide! Having said that we would call good chinook fishing hooking 3 to 6 nice fish a morning or afternoon!
Give us a call to book a Vancouver Fishing Charter.....August is an exciting month for fishing in Vancouver!
