Vancouver Salmon Fishing Update, November 3rd
It looks like the local saltwater fishing is perking up a little bit! The fishing is by no means good, but the first few winter chinook salmon were hooked this past week in some of the usual Vancouver winter chinook salmon spots. Van Herring was out yesterday and had perfect water conditions and warm temperatures! They hooked one good fish that decided to swim right into the prop as it came close to the boat. We are optimistic that fishing will get better in the next week or two in Howe Sound. Vancouver Harbour is typically full of shakers during the first few weeks of November. There may be the odd legal chinook in coming weeks, but Vancouver Harbour typically gets going in early December!
We are open during the Christmas Holidays! If you have friends and family in town give us a call to get out winter chinook salmon fishing, crabbing, and prawning! There can be some great fishing later in December!
